Log in to Duka Maps, select your duka, then open SMS from the Admin Menu. Confirm the duka name before taking action. Each duka has separate SMS settings, credits and records.
Open Buy SMS. You need Buy SMS permission. Buying credits does not renew your main subscription.
You only need DukaMaps credits for sending through the DukaMaps account. If your own provider is active, top up HostPinnacle directly instead.
Choose a Pack
Open Buy SMS and select a pack:

Review the Order
Check the duka, units, total, amount paid and remaining amount. Each purchase has its own reference, such as SMS123.
Creating an order does not add credits. They are added after the full payment is confirmed.
Pay with M-PESA Express
Enter the paying M-PESA phone number and click Request M-PESA prompt. Check your phone and enter your PIN there.
Wait for payment confirmation. The order page checks automatically for a limited period. You can also click Check payment status or return through Purchase history later.
Do not make a second payment merely because confirmation is delayed. Check your M-PESA receipt and the existing order first.
Pay Manually Using Pay Bill
Where this option is available, expand Pay via M-PESA Pay Bill and follow the steps. Alternatively, expand Pay via airtel money.
Check payment status combines recorded payments for that SMS account number, including payments from different phone numbers. Credits are added once the order is fully paid. If confirmation has not reached DukaMaps, the payment may not appear yet; keep your receipt and contact support if it remains missing.
Use the SMS order reference, not the main subscription reference, customer name or duka name. An incorrect reference may prevent automatic matching; ask DukaMaps support for help and provide the receipt and intended order.
Partial Payments and Overpayments
Partial payments accumulate against the order, but credits are added only after full payment. Settle the displayed remaining amount using the same order.
If a balance includes cents that M-PESA Express cannot request, use the available manual payment option or ask support for assistance.
Overpayments are recorded for support review. They do not automatically buy extra SMS units.
Purchase History
Use Open beside an order to review payment progress, receipts and credits added. Use the page controls for older purchases.
If payment succeeded but credits are missing, use Check payment status and verify the order reference before contacting support. Keep your M-PESA receipt.
Common Questions
Can someone else pay for the order?
Yes. Confirmed payments are matched by the exact SMS account reference, not the payer’s phone number. Share the correct reference and remaining amount with the payer.
Can I pay in several instalments?
Yes. Use the same SMS account reference for each payment towards that order. The recorded payments are combined. Credits are added once after full payment.
Does checking payment status take another payment?
No. It checks recorded payments and updates the order. Request M-PESA prompt is the action that starts an M-PESA Express payment request.
What if I used the wrong account number?
Contact DukaMaps support with the receipt, amount and intended SMS order reference. Do not assume it was matched to your order.
Can I buy while my subscription is expired?
Yes, with the required permission. Credits remain available, but sending requires renewal.
Are unused credits refundable or transferable between dukas?
This page provides no refund or transfer action. Each duka keeps its own balance. Ask support about any exceptional adjustment.
