Reviewing SMS History

Log in to Duka Maps, select your duka, then open SMS from the Admin Menu. Confirm the duka name before taking action. Each duka has separate SMS settings, credits and records.

Open SMS history. You need View SMS permission.

Open SMS history to review composed messages, debt reminders, and account-entry and deletion notifications.

The list shows the message reference, creation date, staff reference, recipient phone, sender ID, complete message, character information, SMS units, cost or own-provider indication, and status. Use Previous and Next for older messages.

StatusMeaning and next step
QueuedWaiting for processing. Do not queue the same message again.
SubmittingSending is in progress or awaiting a result. Check again.
SentThe system has recorded the message as sent.
FailedThe sending request was rejected. Check the note and correct the problem before a deliberate retry.
CancelledThe system stopped the message because it no longer met the sending rules. Review the reason.
UnknownThe result could not be confirmed. Ask a DukaMaps administrator to verify it before retrying.

For DukaMaps credits, Failed and Cancelled requests release their reservations. Unknown requests retain them. A message recorded as Sent uses its SMS units; the current workflow does not provide delivery-report-based refunds.

Own-provider messages still appear in history with their SMS units, but show Own provider rather than a DukaMaps charge. Manage provider charges directly with HostPinnacle.

Check a Particular Message

  1. Find the recipient phone number and date. Use Previous and Next for older records.
  2. Read the full message and check the sender ID.
  3. Check its status and the explanation below it.
  4. Review its SMS units and whether its cost is reserved, charged or handled by your own provider.
  5. Keep the message reference when asking an administrator for help.

A single personalised message may use several SMS units. The message history records the complete text, including its automatic header, greeting and footer. Different recipients can use different unit counts because their names have different lengths.

Common Questions

Does Sent mean I should send it again to be sure?

No. Treat it as sent. The current workflow assumes delivery and does not show delivery reports.

Why is a message Unknown?

The sending result could not be confirmed. It may already have been sent. An administrator must check with HostPinnacle before deciding whether to retry.

Why was a queued message cancelled?

Check its note. The system rechecks permissions, subscription, recipient information and sending rules before processing. A message may stop when those details no longer match its prepared content.

Where do I send a debt reminder?

Use Customer Balances. History is for reviewing records and does not provide a resend button.

Will messages sent through my own account appear here?

Yes. They show Own provider; their charges are managed directly with HostPinnacle.

An active main subscription is required to send SMS. Purchased DukaMaps credits never expire; sending pauses when the subscription expires and can resume after renewal. SMS credits are purchased separately from the main subscription.
